Scholarships
JSerra offers qualified students scholarships in the form of tuition subsidies for the 2008-2009 academic year. Scholarships will be awarded based upon demonstrated academic excellence. Scholarship amounts will vary based upon the number and qualifications of the students in the applicant pool. We anticipate that scholarships will range from $500-$1,250.
To be eligible for a scholarship, an applicant must: (a) submit all required materials by the submission deadline (applications will be accepted from June 15, 2008 through June 30, 2008); (b) have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.5; (c) be in all respects an exemplary student in good standing at the school; and (d) not be on, or have at any time during the prior school year been on, academic or disciplinary probation or been found to have violated any school policy or rule regarding academic integrity, honesty, or behavior.
Any eligible student who wishes to apply for a scholarship should complete the Scholarship Application and submit it along with the following items:
A typed or legibly written informal application statement specifying in no more than 250 words why he or she merits scholarship consideration.
Copies of any supporting documentation, such as awards, commendations, etc.
Updated transcripts (including final grades for the second semester of the 2007/2008 academic year).
All application materials should be directed to the school office, to the attention of the Scholarship Committee. Please note that incomplete, late, or illegible applications will not be processed. Please also note that no application materials will be returned to the applicant. Thus, please do not submit original documents that may be needed for other purposes. Scholarship decisions will be announced as soon as possible. Questions regarding the Scholarship Program should be directed via email to the Scholarship Committee.
