Spirit Week A Fun-Filled Success!
The first Spirit Week of the 2009-2010 school year was an outstanding and fun-filled success! Each day of the week had a different theme, such as Jersey Day, Nerd Day, Crazy Sock Day, Class Color Day, and Tie- Dye Day. The student participation was the most widespread for any Spirit Week yet, and the imagination, creativity, and spirit of the student body was awesome! An integral part of Spirit Week was the all school Fall Sports Rally, which featured a game of musical chairs and performances by Freshmen and JV Cheer, Varsity Cheer, the Songleaders, and the Boys Varsity Water Polo team. ASB emcees Ace Raphael, Caitlin Lopes, and Rick Dupont introduced the varsity fall sport teams: Cross Country, Football, Boys Water Polo, Girls Golf, Girls Tennis, and Girls Volleyball. These teams have opened their seasons with outstanding performances and are going to be tough competitors as their seasons progress. If the passion of the students this Spirit Week was any indication of JSerra school spirit, this year will be the most fun, exciting, and memorable school year to date. Go Lions! |
