Welcome to International Student Enrichment Program at JSerra Catholic High School. In June, 2009, JSerra established International Department to welcome students from around the world. Under our distinctive International Student Enrichment Program, qualifying students will matriculate into JSerra’s rigorous college preparation curriculum and for those students who are not proficient in the English language, we offer English Immersion and ESL courses to help them striving their goals to attend college or university in the United States. For the 2010-2011 academic year, we are expecting 20 or more students representing their cultures from six different countries. Here are the Quick Facts of JSerra’s distinctive International Student Enrichment Program; • Established in 2009 • Help them learn about and gain acceptance to appropriate U.S. universities • Adjust to a new culture by providing a smaller, structured environment designed to support non-native English speakers • English Immersion & ESL (English as a Second Language) Courses • Individualized counseling according to student’s language ability • Cultural immersion activities including American holiday experience, international club, home-stay program • Honors and AP courses are available to qualifying students • Magnet program is available to qualifying students • International Students have access to a wide variety of sports, music, art and club activities offered at JSerra We offer the best to our students and we are excited to offer a unique opportunity to each applicant.
