The Arts Magnet Program (AMP) provides four years of pre-professional training in the Visual and Performing Arts, including Choral and Instrumental Music, Dance, Theater, Drawing & Painting, Graphic Design, Photography, and Broadcast Journalism. The mission of JSerra’s Arts Magnet Program is to create independent thinkers and leaders who will contribute inventively and critically to their culture through their artistic discipline.

At the core of the Arts Magnet Program are a series of discipline specific courses which develop students’ skills to an advanced level in their principle art form. Additionally, AMP students find inspiration in their sister art disciplines through our interdisciplinary History of the Arts course and quarterly field trips to world class arts venues from Los Angeles to San Diego. In our Professional Arts Seminar, students meet guest working artists from a wide array of art forms as they explore what it means to create a career in the arts.
