JSerra Campus Ministry offers four exciting and ongoing programs here for your sons and daughters to cultivate their Christian faith and strengthen their character during their high school tenure. Those who attend regularly can attest to these spiritual formation events' dynamism, substance, and effect in their daily lives.
Every Tuesday (some exceptions) from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
West Center Room
Focus: Simply put, Tuesday Night Lights is one of JSerra’s efforts to help each and every student grow personally and spiritually. It is a weekly gathering for students who wish to learn more or grow in their faith through Bible study, worship, service, and leadership. The night includes games, music, a short talk from one of our Campus Ministers, and an opportunity to connect with peers. Campus Ministers also encourage students to celebrate their faith through participation in a local parish or congregation. Students do not need to register and are invited to attend on Tuesdays from 7-8:30 p.m. in the West Center Room. Please see the Calendar for up-to-date times and special locations.
One Tuesday per month from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
West Center Room
Focus: XLT is a monthly night of praise and worship to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament led by the Campus Ministry Music Team. Students will go deeper in their prayer and encounter the presence of Christ in new ways. Pizza dinner included at 6:00.
Two times a year for each grade level.
Focus: Off-campus overnight retreats are a chance for your son or daughter to take a step away from their routine and examine the big questions in life: Who am I? Who is God? Why am I here? What matters most? With our seasoned retreat leaders of Ms. Bass, Mr. Eckert and Mr. Laubacher, your son or daughter will encounter the love of Christ and the Church in a way that will give clarity and purpose to their life, and strength and resolve to pursue the excellence for which they have been created. Focus: Discipleship groups are small-groups led by a JSerra teacher that invite students to explore their faith and apply it to their lives in practical ways. Through Scripture studies, inspiring spiritual literature and peer conversations, students grow in virtue and learn to solve problems and resolve conflicts in healthy and effective ways.
