Spring Teaching Internship

Who We Are

JSerra is a nationally recognized Catholic high school that offers a unique blend of educational and formational opportunities for our students, families, and staff. Located in sunny San Juan Capistrano just down the road from the jewel of the California Missions and minutes from the Pacific Coast, our community benefits from elite college prep academics, world class athletic programs, national caliber arts and extracurriculars, all while prioritizing integrated faith and virtue development programs.

As the most selective and in-demand Catholic high school in Orange County, JSerra attracts incredibly bright and motivated students and families. As an independent school we provide our faculty with highly competitive pay and benefits, while offering unique professional and spiritual development opportunities.

About the Internship

We recognize the incredible role that our faculty and staff play in building up our community, and are proactively searching for inspiring, faith-filled staff members who are passionate about driving forward the mission of Catholic education.

Our Spring Teaching Internship is a fully funded program offering exceptional candidates the opportunity to spend a week in San Juan Capistrano becoming familiar with the region, meeting with school leadership, and gaining experience in the classroom. We are offering a limited number of places to undergraduate and graduate students who are currently within two years of completing their degree.

The experience will include:

  • 6 days in Southern California during your school's Spring Break
  • Flights to and from John Wayne Airport in Orange County
  • Lodging with a JSerra family in a coastal city
  • Mass at Mission San Juan Capistrano and St. Michael’s Norbertine Abbey
  • 3 days of classroom instruction
  • Mentorship by Departmental Faculty and Chair
  • A day exploring the local community, food, and culture
  • Dinner with school leadership and founding families
