Celebrating Creativity: JSerra Artists Named Finalists in Citywide Competition

JSerra Catholic High School is proud to share exciting news from our Visual Arts program as four of our talented student artists have been named finalists in the San Juan Capistrano 250 Years Competition.

Representing each grade level, these students have been recognized for their exceptional creativity and artistic expression:

  • Freshman Regan Abreu — Golden Hour Through the Arches (painting)
  • Sophomore Lily Kitcher — 250 Years in Freedom (painting)
  • Junior Sydnie Chi — The Spirit of the Starman (drawing)
  • Senior Giovanna Julian — Sunrise (colored pencil drawing)

Each finalist has first earned top honors at the school level and will receive a certificate of recognition for their achievement. Looking ahead, city-level grade winners will be celebrated at a public art showcase and awards ceremony hosted by the City of San Juan Capistrano. Select works will also be featured in a special public exhibit as part of the city’s 250th anniversary celebration—an opportunity for these young artists to share their vision with the broader community.

At JSerra, we are committed to forming students who pursue excellence in every discipline, and this recognition reflects not only their artistic talent, but also their dedication to developing their God-given gifts.

Congratulations to Regan, Lily, Sydnie, and Giovanna on this outstanding accomplishment. We look forward to cheering you on in the next stage of the competition!
