Disc Golf Tournament Kicks off Successful Socially Distant Tradition

Owing to COVID-19 and various health regulations, JSerra veered from what would have been the 17th Annual Lion Nation Golf Tournament and started what may become a beloved new school tradition with its inaugural Disc Golf Tournament, which took place on campus last Saturday, Sept. 26.

Spread out over the Athletic campus, the event included 13 holes, approximately 200 players, and over and 70 families. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the Athletic Administration, led by Associate Athletic Director Donald Evans, the event went off without a hitch.

Principal Eric Stroupe stated, "It was an awesome day. Glad everyone could be out here supporting the school. Thanks for everything athletics is doing. Go Lions!"

Various sponsors made the event possible, including title sponsor Farmers & Merchants Bank.

The Lion Nation Disc Golf Tournament capped off an important week for JSerra as it was the first week back on campus for students and staff.
