JSerra Catholic High School announces that two-time Orange County Coach of the Year (2016 and 2019) and current Track and Field Boys and Girls Head Coach, Chase Frazier, has accepted the additional role as new Head Coach of both Boys and Girls Cross Country teams.

Frazier has big shoes to fill in replacing former coach Marty Dugard, but we are confident his experience, expertise, and commitment to excellence will propel our distinguished program to even newer heights.

Frazier joined JSerra after nine successful seasons as track and field coach at Mission Viejo High School. He was a Division I track athlete at Cal State Fullerton who served as team captain his senior season. A South Orange County native, Coach Frazier played three sports at Mission Viejo High School.

In less than a decade, he has already coached a track and field state champion, 15 state qualifiers, 89 CIF finalists, 17 CIF championships, 19 OC championships, and 59 South Coast League champions. All told, Frazier has helped send more than 50 student-athletes to Division I colleges.

He also helped bring Mission Viejo Girls Cross Country to the next level as his teams won two league championships (Sea View and South Coast) while the latter was the first in the school's history. His girls program finished in the top five of Orange County in his last three years as head coach. Fifteen of Frazier's girls from his Cross-Country squads have gone onto compete at the Division I level.

We would be remiss without acknowledging Coach Dugard's unprecedented run building our program. He set the standard for excellence, and we are thankful for his leadership and significant contributions during his 15 years at JSerra. We also look forward to competing against him in the Trinity League.
