JSerra Catholic High School has announced the hiring of Heidi Dyer as the Sand Volleyball Head Coach. The announcement was made by JSerra Athletic Director Chris Ledyard.
Dyer, a three-time Beach Volleyball All American at Pepperdine University (2016-2019), helped lead the Wave to an 80-32 mark during her beach volleyball career as well as to an NCAA Championship runner-up finish in 2017 and two Top-5 finishes in 2016 and 2018. Dyer was also a standout in the indoor game at Pepperdine, playing played in 113 indoor matches in which she recorded 817 kills, 1,224 assists, and 858 digs.
A San Clemente native, she is currently a head coach in the San Clemente Volleyball Club and assistant coach with Indoor Head Coach Mike Murphy's Girls Volleyball program at JSerra.
"Heidi had a remarkable career with the Waves of Pepperdine, where she has been regarded as one of the top sand volleyball players during her tenure," said Ledyard. "She is a remarkable young woman and her experience and relationship-building in the sand volleyball platform will bode well with our program and student-athletes.
"I am so excited to welcome Heidi to JSerra and cannot wait to see her build our student-athletes up as ambassadors of JSerra Catholic High School through sand volleyball."
