JSerra Broadcasting Alumna Jillian Kay Now Reports for WEBN TV
Class of 2019's Jillian Kay was a great student and volleyball athlete while at JSerra, but to Broadcasting Teacher Sara Brechbill, Kay was a future reporter at heart.
Kay is now in her senior year at Emerson College in Boston and is already a feature reporter for local news station WEBN TV who recently covered Super Bowl LVII in Phoenix, AZ.
Recently Kay and a team of station staff produced a series of segments that now make up a 30-minute special. Segments include red carpet interviews, an interview with Super Bowl halftime star Rihanna, robotic technology that allows Phoenix Children's Hospital patients to watch the game, and an interview with Abbott Elementary's Sheryl Lee Ralph.
"I couldn't be prouder of this amazing young woman and the future she's creating for herself," said Brechbill.
