JSerra Student Leads with Heart and Vision: Meet Bianca Butler

JSerra Catholic High School rising senior Bianca Butler is making a powerful impact on campus through her leadership, compassion, and deep personal mission. As the founder and president of JSerra’s Best Buddies club, Bianca is championing inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)—a cause inspired by her close bond with her late uncle, who had Down syndrome.

What began as a small effort with just a few students has grown into a thriving movement of kindness and advocacy. From partnering with other schools to hosting inclusive events, Bianca has built bridges where none existed—and inspired her entire school community in the process.

Alongside her club leadership, Bianca is also a standout student-athlete, entrepreneur, photographer, and social media intern. Her story is a powerful example of how one student’s personal passion can ripple outward and change a campus.

“Just be kind and include everyone,” she says. “You don’t know what someone’s going through. A little kindness can go a long way.”
