JSerra Students Earn CLT10 Honors for Academic Excellence

JSerra Catholic High School is excited to recognize sophomores Leo Phillips and Aubrey Behnke (not pictured) for their outstanding performance on the CLT10, a national standardized assessment designed for high school freshmen and sophomores.

Both students were named Regional Scholars for scoring in the top 5% of their geographic region during the 2024–2025 academic year. In addition, Leo Phillips earned the distinction of Distinguished Scholar, awarded to the highest-scoring student at each CLT Partner School.

The CLT10 (Classic Learning Test) assesses reading, writing, and quantitative reasoning, emphasizing the development of critical thinking and a foundation in the liberal arts tradition. JSerra students take the CLT10 twice during their early high school years—once in the fall of freshman year and again in the spring of sophomore year—allowing faculty to measure growth and encourage a love of learning rooted in truth, beauty, and goodness.

“These achievements reflect the intellectual curiosity and perseverance we hope to cultivate in all of our students,” said Eileen McKeagney, M.Ed., Director of Curriculum and English Department Chair. “Leo and Aubrey exemplify the academic and spiritual formation that we value deeply at JSerra.”

The CLT10 Regional Scholar and Distinguished Scholar honors place both students among the nation’s most accomplished young learners and highlight JSerra’s continued commitment to academic excellence grounded in faith.
