Congratulations to seniors Gabe D'Arcy (Baseball) and Kennedy Mason (Girls Lacrosse) for being selected Orange County Athletic Directors Association's 2021 Student-Athletes of Character. The OCADA honors coaches and athletes of characters while fostering learning opportunities that emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and integrity.

JSerra Baseball Head Coach Brett Kay praised D'Arcy's character as a young man: "Gabe is perseverance, love, thoughtfulness, and an absolute animal all in one. He is a feared baseball player but he is also a sweet soul. We'll stories in the future of kids we got to coach like Gabe. He is a teacher and a learner. He strives to be great. I love that I get to see him daily and will be sad when Gabe graduates from our program."

Of Mason, JSerra Girls Lacrosse Head Coach Brian Eisenberg said, "Kennedy is a true student-athlete leader! An academic in the classroom and on the field, she is always trying her best while also making everyone around her the best they can be. She is captain for the lacrosse team, an on-field coach, and is amazing at both pushing our experienced players to be better while persistently and patiently helping our new and younger players get comfortable succeeding on a high-level varsity team."

This fall D'Arcy will continue his baseball career at the University of Arkansas while Mason will play Women's Lacrosse at the University of California. Congratulations to these outstanding student-athletes!
