JSerra Athletic Director Chris Ledyard confirmed the next recipients to be inducted to the JSerra Athletics Hall of fame: Paul and Nancy St. Pierre, who have been ambassadors for JSerra from the school's inception and now their legacy continues on.

"Paul and Nancy have been nothing short of remarkable in all of their efforts for all aspects of the JSerra community -- from helping create newly founded processes in our young school during the early years to having the baseball field named after them for their generous contributions to JSerra Athletics and time spent making JSerra the community it is today," said Ledyard.

Paul St. Pierre was a very well-respected member of JSerra's Board of Directors for many years. Among many other things, he helped create a strong foundation in which JSerra's financial grants system still resides. Moreover, the St. Pierre family has been very generous to JSerra -- most significantly noted are their contributions to the Baseball, Golf, and Financial Grants programs. In addition, Paul and Nancy have been kind enough to welcome JSerra events into their home for team and fundraising activities. Nancy was an incredible volunteer for any and all parent activities, and also helped with JSPA and graduation.

Principal Eric Stroupe stated, "Paul and Nancy St. Pierre were early and generous benefactors to JSerra who were invested in the school and athletics and, importantly, had a mission to support the financial aid program of the school. Paul was instrumental in establishing a financial program annd ensuring there were sufficient funds to allow students who wanted to attend JSerra to be able to attend JSerra.

"We speak of people who are giving of their 'time, talent, and treasure' and that epitomizes both Paul and Nancy. As early builders of the school and the athletic program, they surely can take pride in how the school has developed, especially knowing that their individual work allowed countless students to earn a JSerra diploma by making the JSerra tuition more affordable."

This spring the inaugural JESPY Awards will highlight the year's athletic achievements and open the JSerra Athletics Hall of Fame. The event will take place on Thursday, May 27, and kick off graduation weekend festivities.

The JSerra Athletics Department currently presents a JESPY Award (JSerra Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award) to recognize individual and team athletic achievement and other sports-related performance during the calendar year. The JSerra Athletics Hall of Fame will open with the first class of inductees honoring the achievements and contributions of alumni, boosters, and community members who have played an integral role in the history of JSerra Athletics.
