William Oh '26 Named OC Register Artist of the Year Dance Semifinalist

JSerra Catholic High School is proud to celebrate William Oh, who has been named a 2026 Orange County Register Artist of the Year semifinalist in dance.

The annual Artist of the Year program recognizes some of Orange County’s most accomplished high school artists across seven disciplines, including dance, theater, instrumental music, vocal music, film and TV, fine arts, and media arts. This year, 888 students were nominated from 88 schools and arts organizations throughout Orange County, with 108 students selected as semifinalists. In dance, William was one of just 16 students chosen from 107 nominees for the 2026 Judy Morr Award for Dance.

William’s recognition is a testament not only to his technical ability, but also to the expressive range, discipline, and artistry that distinguish exceptional young performers. The semifinalists were selected by a panel of arts educators who reviewed student submissions, including performance videos, written statements, and artistic résumés.

At JSerra, the arts are an important part of forming the whole person. Whether on stage, in the studio, in the classroom, or in rehearsal, students are encouraged to pursue excellence with humility, courage, and purpose. William’s accomplishment reflects the kind of dedication that turns talent into craft and craft into something that can move others.

We congratulate William on this well-deserved honor and celebrate the faculty, mentors, family members, and fellow artists who have supported him along the way.
