Academic Distinctions
JSerra Catholic High School is committed to cultivating a culture of academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, and servant leadership. Through a variety of nationally recognized honor societies and academic recognition programs, students have the opportunity to challenge themselves, pursue their passions, and earn distinction for their achievements both inside and outside the classroom.
Our Academic Distinctions programs recognize students who demonstrate exceptional scholarship, leadership, service, character, mathematical achievement, and language proficiency. These honors not only celebrate student accomplishment, but also encourage continued growth in pursuit of truth, wisdom, and excellence.

California Scholarship Federation (CSF)
The California Scholarship Federation recognizes students who achieve high levels of academic success while demonstrating citizenship and service. Through semester-based membership and community involvement, students are encouraged to pursue scholarship with integrity and purpose. Students who achieve Life Membership status receive special recognition at graduation.
Mu Alpha Theta
Mu Alpha Theta is the national mathematics honor society, dedicated to promoting excellence in mathematics. JSerra students who demonstrate outstanding achievement in advanced mathematics courses have opportunities to participate in tutoring, service, competitions, and enrichment activities while helping fellow students succeed.
National Honor Society (NHS)
The National Honor Society recognizes students who exemplify the pillars of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Membership is both an honor and a commitment, challenging students to serve their school and community while maintaining the highest standards of academic and personal excellence.
Seal of Biliteracy
The Seal of Biliteracy honors graduating students who have demonstrated proficiency in English and at least one additional language. This prestigious recognition celebrates multilingualism, cultural understanding, and the ability to communicate across communities and cultures in an increasingly interconnected world.
