At JSerra Catholic High School we offer a rich and challenging curriculum that prepares our students to succeed in college and beyond. Our focus is on critical thinking, complex problem solving and higher order reasoning — coupled with faith and character building.
Students must take courses at JSerra to fulfill graduation requirements. Any course taken outside JSerra Catholic High School for advancement and/or to meet prerequisites, must be pre-approved by the Vice Principal and will not be included in your transcript.
Initial placement into the upper level, honors, and AP courses will require at least the following (check course descriptions for additional prerequisites):
- A- in the 1st semester and 3rd quarter of prior college prep course
- B- in the 1st semester and 3rd quarter of prior honors or AP course
- All placement is pending and will be finalized based on the 2nd semester grade meeting the requirements of the course.
- Students who do not meet the prerequisites are welcome to petition the course at the end of 2nd semester, however, placement is not guaranteed.
Students must have a C- to pass all courses regardless of meeting the graduation requirements or not.
All D's and F's must be remediated to graduate from JSerra.
If a student remediates a D/F in a course, that remediated grade is not included in qualification for prerequisites.
