Summer Abroad
Whether pilgrimages, performances, mission trips, or educational travel, our Lions love to promote the JSerra mission to all parts of the world.
Each summer JSerra students travel for a Summer Abroad class experience in which they study regional history, politics, religion, art, architecture, and literature before heading overseas to experience those same subjects themselves. Italy, China, Portugal, Spain, Peru, Germany, Austria, Switzerland have all been destinations of JSerra students in the past four years alone!
We are thrilled to announce that for 2025 we are heading to Central Europe on June 8-19, visiting Prague, Vienna, Salzburg, and Munich. Students will be required to attend a 4-day Summer School class prior to departing on the trip. Current juniors, sophomores, and freshmen who are in good academic and disciplinary standing are eligible to participate in the program, but space is limited.
This is an educational experience that will allow students to see different aspects of their studies come to life while interacting with local customs and cultures. We will travel to Madrid, Barcelona, and San Sebastian. Questions? Contact Director of International Travel, Laura Kennedy, at lkennedy@jserra.org.
"Summer Abroad was probably the best thing I have done in my life so far. It gave me a new sense of freedom and independence — all while learning about architectural and artistic marvels. I made lifelong friends on that trip, and I can honestly never forget it."
