Summer Abroad

Whether pilgrimages, performances, mission trips, or educational travel, our Lions love to promote the JSerra mission to all parts of the world.

Each summer JSerra students travel for a Summer Abroad class experience in which they study regional history, politics, religion, art, architecture, and literature before heading overseas to experience those same subjects themselves. Italy, China, Portugal, Spain, Peru, Germany, Austria, Switzerland have all been destinations of JSerra students in the past four years alone!

Our trip during Summer 2020 was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic; therefore, we are offering the Ireland trip again for this summer’s trip! In 2019, we offered an outstanding Summer Abroad experience in Austria, the Czech Republic, and Germany. It was an exceptional and educational experience that allowed students to see different aspects of their studies come to life while they interacted with local customs and cultures. Our trip to Ireland in Summer 2021 will undoubtedly be just as memorable!

"Summer Abroad was probably the best thing I have done in my life so far. It gave me a new sense of freedom and independence — all while learning about architectural and artistic marvels. I made lifelong friends on that trip, and I can honestly never forget it."
