Any family who believes they may need financial assistance to make a JSerra education accessible is welcome to apply.

Grants are awarded based on financial need and qualification, determined by the JSerra Financial Grant Committee. 

Yes. Financial grant applications are submitted securely online and reviewed only by the JSerra Financial Grant Committee. All financial information is kept strictly confidential.

No. Admissions and financial aid applications are reviewed separately. Applying for tuition assistance has no impact on a student's admissions decision. 

Grant awards are announced via email when application decisions are released (i.e., November 20 for early application and February 15 for regular application). 

Yes. Both new and returning families must complete a financial grant application online each year to be considered for tuition assistance.

No. Financial grants apply only to tuition. The registration fee and technology fee still apply. However, gently used uniforms are available at a discount in our uniform store. Families are also encouraged to purchase used textbooks through Thriftbooks or Amazon. 

Yes. Current federal law allows families to use up to $10,000 per year, per student, from a 529 education savings plan for K–12 private school tuition. Because tax situations vary, we encourage families to consult with their financial advisor or tax professional regarding the potential benefits of a 529 plan.

Clarity offers a streamlined, mobile friendly application that can be completed in as short as 30 minutes. Additionally, Clarity removes the need to upload your personal tax return(s) and W2(s)by transferring them directly from the IRS. This saves you time so that you aren’t pulling out all of your tax returns and transposing numbers from the returns into the application. It is also more secure because you are not uploading copies of original documents, needing to redact the SSNs, and those copies or PDFs are not sitting unsecured on your desktop or in a folder on your computer, or in an email server, etc.

Just as in prior years, if your financial circumstances have not changed, you will not see significant changes to your award. If you have any questions about your individual circumstance, please reach out to us.

Yes, you will need to submit a Clarity application each year as part of the school’s standard financial aid process. Clarity retains your demographic information from previous applications, so it will be even easier to reapply.

Yes! Clarity’s application is fully mobile-friendly so you have access wherever you are.
