Ever wonder what it’s like to be a JSerra Lion? The best way to discover what life is like at JSerra is to attend a Shadow Day! On a Shadow Day, we will match your student with a current JSerra student who shares their interests. Your student will have the opportunity to ask questions, tour our beautiful campus, attend classes, and gain insight into the student experience at JSerra — not to mention lunch from the Lion's Bistro on us!
All prospective students entering grades 7 through 11 are invited to participate in a Shadow Day. Shadowing is available most Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and some Fridays. Please check our calendar to select the date that works best for you. Students must be registered 4 days prior to the requested date.
Please make sure your student is dressed appropriately with nice dress pants or shorts and a polo shirt (boys) or a modest dress or pants with a blouse or polo shirt (girls). If your student is currently attending a private school, the uniform of that school may be worn. If you sign up for a special Shadow Day during a spirit week or special dress day, your student may participate in the special dress. We will contact you directly with details about special dress.
On your Shadow Day, please arrive no later than 7:50 a.m. in the JSerra Pavilion (the gym across the street from main campus) as we will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students will come to the gym to sign-in, receive a guest badge, and a free lunch pass at the Lion Bistro. We will have a brief introduction and a special tour for parents.

The Athletic Open House will be hosted in the Pavilion on Sunday, November 12 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Prospective families will learn about our 23 CIF sports and 7 Club teams and hear from our Head Coaches and student-athletes about our competitive, character-building athletic programs. Street tacos will be available at 2:00 p.m. for $1 followed by a short presentation and a meet-and-greet with coaches. Tours of our 30-acre athletic campus will be available between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m.
JSerra Catholic High School is hosting two Open House events and one Athletic Open House for prospective students and their parents. Students, faculty, coaches and administration will be in attendance to answer all your questions.
We look forward to showing you what JSerra has to offer, and we encourage you to RSVP online and bring your family!
Are you a 7th or 8th grade student interested in JSerra? Our Visitation Day is a great way to get to know us! Students will be placed into groups and will rotate through different classrooms and interact with our students and faculty. If you want to experience JSerra as a student then this is a perfect day for you! Please be sure to RSVP today!
Let us host your family for a personal tour of our beautiful campus! Comfortable shoes are recommended as you will have the opportunity to visit both our academic and athletic sides of campus. The tour typically lasts one hour.
Pride Receptions are designed specifically for prospective families and are hosted in the homes of current parents. You will interact directly with parents, students, teachers and administrators in an informal, family-like atmosphere. You’ll find no question is off limits! By the end of the reception, you will come away with a true feeling of what our JSerra family is all about.
Would you like to spend a day practicing for the HSPT exam? Come to JSerra and take the mock HSPT to prepare you for the big day. The questions from the mock exam are very similar to the actual test and they even follow the same time frame requirements. Students will be able to leave with the test and they will be emailed the answers a few weeks later. The results from the Mock exam will not impact your admission in any way. All 6th-8th grade students are invited! Please sign up below.
