Visual Arts Students Chosen as Semi-Finalists in Congressional Art Contest
The Visual Arts Department is proud to announce that three JSerra arts students (Makena Bactat ‘24, Mallory Hartung ‘25, and Audrey Nobles ‘26) were among the 50 semi-finalists chosen for the Congressional Art Contest, representing California’s 49th Congressional District. Their work was chosen from over 300 entries from every high school in Orange County and exhibited over the weekend at the Oceanside Museum of Art, where Makena’s “Shallow” was given an additional Honorable Mention.
