The JSerra Equestrian Team is an opportunity for its athletes to be recognized by the school for their commitment to the Equestrian sport. The team provides its members with comradery in a sport that is typically individual. 

Team events include monthly morning meetings, community events such as team dinners and a Disney trip, supporting teammates at shows, service opportunities, a speaker series, and the annual Swallows Day Parade. Our event schedule is designed to promote community, team spirit, horsemanship, and education.

Members of the Equestrian Team are required to compete in a jumper, hunter, dressage, eventing, western, or other competitive event at least once and log at least 100 training hours during the school year in order to be eligible for PE credit, but members are welcome to be a part of the club without working towards credit. While they are a united team on campus, team members must ride at an outside barn/work with their own trainers.

The purpose of the Equestrian team is to cultivate horsemanship, discipline, and responsibility through team events, education, service, support of teammates both in and out of the arena, and working towards meeting the training and show requirements. We strive to connect students with a community of likeminded classmates who share a passion for the sport. By upholding standards of high athletic performance and personal character, our team contributes to the development of its members in the arena, school, and life.
