Coach Mike Smith
Top Level Coaching
Coach Mike Smith has served as an assistant Rugby coach at JSerra since 2023 and has built an impressive leadership resume on multiple levels.
Coach Smith coached the Air Force Academy to a third-place finish at the 1994 Collegiate Rugby National Championships before guiding the Belmont Shore Rugby Club to the 2007 National Championship and finished as runner-up in 2008.
He has also served as an assistant on the U.S. under-20 Men’s national team.

JSerra's rugby field utilizes the highest quality artificial turf: A-turf.
A-turf is a grass-like man-made surface manufactured from synthetic materials.
The field utilizes nearly 500,000 square feet of A-turf. The turf enhances athletes’ sports performance, provides the best traction, decreases risk of injury, and allows efficient drainage for all weather conditions.
