Top Level Coaching

Lions Head Boys Soccer Coach Erik Kirsch has firmly established JSerra as one of the nation's elite soccer programs.

A collegiate standout at UC Irvine, Kirsch played professional soccer in Germany before beginning his coaching journey, which has seen him find success on the professional, collegiate, and high school levels.

Kirsch came to JSerra in 2015 and guided the Lions to a rapid ascension that saw them claim Trinity League title in the 2019-2020 season and CIF-SS title match appearance in 2021-2022.

In two of the last three seasons, Kirsch has led the Lions to the coveted "Treble", winning the Trinity League, CIF-SS, and CIF Southern California Regional titles.

Both of those seasons have ended with the Lions being crowned National Champions by MaxPreps.

Kirsch has twice been named the CIF-SS Coach of the Year and has cumulative record of 129-79-23 heading into his 11th season as coach.

JSerra's soccer field utilizes the highest quality artificial turf: A-turf.

A-turf is a grass-like man-made surface manufactured from synthetic materials.

JSerra’s field utilize nearly 500,000 square feet of A-turf. The turf enhances athletes’ sports performance, provides the best traction, decreases risk of injury, and allows efficient drainage for all weather conditions.
