JSerra officially launched our new House System on April 28, 2025, with "Calling Day"—a joyful and historic moment when students, faculty, and staff were officially "called" into one of six newly established Houses (Alta, Carmel, Monterey, Petra, San Onofre, and Ventura). From sweet treats and fun games to meeting and greeting fellow House mates, students kicked off this exciting chapter with celebration, camaraderie, and a whole lot of Lion pride. The newly formed houses then had an opportunity to bond in competition and team spirit in JSerra's first ever House Competition. On May 19, 2025, student representatives from each house competed in rock-paper-scissors and flag pulling events, and four staff/faculty members from each house raced in a 4x100 relay. Houses were awarded points for coming in first or second for the events as well as for displays of cheering and team spirit. The inaugural winner was Monterey House, who received a catered Raising Cane's lunch for claiming victory.
