Net Missionaries

At JSerra Catholic High School, faith formation is personal—taking place in the chapel, classroom, retreats, and everyday moments when students are encouraged, supported, and accompanied in their faith journey.

Real Faith. Daily Encounter.

At JSerra Catholic High School, faith formation is personal. Students encounter Christ through the chapel, theology classrooms, retreats, Tuesday Night Lights, and the everyday moments when they are encouraged, supported, and accompanied in their faith journey.

Each year, JSerra welcomes a team of NET missionaries from National Evangelization Teams (NET), young Catholic adults who serve alongside Campus Ministry to help students grow in faith through retreats, discipleship, prayer, mentorship, and community.

Through their presence on campus, NET missionaries lead retreats, support faith events, mentor students, visit classrooms, and build relationships that invite students into a deeper relationship with Christ.

What Is NET?

NET (National Evangelization Teams) is a Catholic ministry that trains young adults to share the Gospel and accompany teenagers in their faith journey.

Because NET missionaries are close in age to the students they serve, they offer a unique witness of faith—showing students that a relationship with Christ can be joyful, authentic, and part of everyday life.

Their presence helps students see that faith is not distant or reserved for adulthood. It is alive, personal, and meant to transform every part of who we are.

A School-Year Mission

Each September through May, NET missionaries become part of the JSerra community. Their extended presence allows them to form meaningful relationships with students and support faith formation throughout the school year.

Retreats

NET missionaries help lead student retreats through talks, prayer, small groups, and personal witness, creating opportunities for students to encounter Christ and reflect on their faith.

Campus Ministry

NET missionaries partner with Campus Ministry to build a culture of faith, prayer, and belonging. They support spiritual events, encourage students in their sacramental life, and help students take the next step in their relationship with God.

Tuesday Night Lights & XLT

NET missionaries help lead JSerra’s faith-centered gatherings, where students come together for worship, prayer, fellowship, and Eucharistic-centered formation.

Mentorship & Daily Presence

Beyond formal events, NET missionaries are present throughout campus—connecting with students during breaks, in classrooms, at activities, and at athletic events. Through authentic relationships, they help students feel known, supported, and encouraged in their faith.

A Community That Welcomes Mission

The mission of NET is made possible through the support of the entire JSerra community. Families are invited to participate through hospitality, prayer, meals, and encouragement.

Host families provide NET missionaries with meals and a welcoming place to stay during their time serving at JSerra. This hospitality is more than support—it is an opportunity to participate in the mission of forming students in faith.

Faith That Feels Approachable

One of the greatest gifts of NET is the ability to make faith approachable. Missionaries meet students where they are, sharing their own experiences, praying with them, and showing that holiness is possible in everyday life.

For many students, a NET missionary becomes the person who encourages them to attend Adoration, join a retreat, seek prayer, return to Confession, or take a first step toward a deeper relationship with Christ.

Through presence, friendship, and witness, NET missionaries help students discover that God is closer than they imagined.
