Rugby

Rugby is a unique sport with a culture of honor and respect for self, teammates, coaches, opposing teams and referees that transcends any other American sport. JSerra Rugby Football Club was formed in 2015 to provide an opportunity for JSerra athletes to learn the sport and culture of rugby and to gain exposure to potential scholarship opportunities at the collegiate level.

Rugby is a club sport within the Athletic department and competes in the Southern California Youth Rugby (SCYR) Association high school division. While not currently a California Interscholastic Federation sport, there are many people are working to get rugby CIF approved within the next few years.

RUGBY 2018-2019

Rugby is a winter sport: 3 day/week practices start at the beginning of November, the first competition is in early December, and games are played Friday night (or Saturday) through the beginning of February. Championship playoffs are completed before the end of February.
