JSerra is proud to welcome international motivational speaker and New York Times best-selling author Nick Vujicic from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Thursday 2/22 in the Pavilion. Born without arms and legs, Vujicic has learned to deal with his disability and overcome life's challenges through strength and hope found in his faith. Since his first motivational speaking engagement as a teenager, Vujicic has traveled to over 57 countries, sharing his story with more than 400 million people. His books have been translated into over 30 different languages and have sold more than a million copies internationally. This event is free but registration is required, so don't wait — register here today before we reach maximum capacity!

    CELEBRATE JSERRA 2018

Our spring benefit dinner and live auction, Celebrate JSerra, takes place on Saturday 3/10 at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. It will be a very special evening as we honor JSerra founders, Tim and Steph Busch, for their vision and dedication to our incredible school. We will also be highlighting our extremely talented theatre students from our Fine Arts program. Please come and help us celebrate the accomplishments of students, parents, and staff! Individual ticket sales and table sponsorship opportunities are now available at jserra.org/celebrate. Last year's event raised over $500,000 for financial grants and program enhancements. Buy your tickets today — it will surely be a memorable night for our school!

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR LION ENGAGE

The schedules and registration for Lion Engage, JSerra's summer program for 6th-8th grade students, are now available at jserra.org/lionengage. Learn about this great opportunity for middle school students to dive into experiential learning in a wide variety of week-long courses bound to excite any young mind. TESTING DAY FOR FRESHMEN, SOPHOMORES, AND JUNIORS

On Tuesday 2/27, the ACT, practice ACT, and practice PSAT will be held from 8:00 a.m. to noon for all students in grades 9-11. (This is a free day for seniors!)

    • FRESHMAN PSAT - There is no need to prep for this test as it is early exposure to the PSAT. Freshmen will have the ability to take the test again in their sophomore and junior years.
    • SOPHOMORE PACT - Sophomores can use their PSAT and PACT scores to determine which test on which to focus. Students only need to prep for and take either the ACT or SAT for college admissions.
    • JUNIOR ACT - Scores from this test are official and can be submitted to colleges. Counselors will assist with registration, which will take place during the school day on 2/20 and 2/21. Students must be present on these days in order to register for the exam. No makeup days will be offered.

With only 19 days left, juniors should already be preparing for the ACT. JSerra offers free online test prep to all students through Naviance, so both sophomores and juniors can take full-length exams and prep a little each day before testing day. For information regarding our free test prep options, please view this short video. We highly encourage students to do at least one full-length test prior to the 2/27 testing date. (There is also another free test prep option offered by Kaplan.)

The letter is available here for your convenience.
